Based in Berlin Center, Ohio, Jeff Hunter brings 43 years of profound experience to the equine industry. His passion for horses began at age 18 with Strike Plate Farm, and over the decades, he has developed deep expertise in both thoroughbreds and quarter horses. With significant experience in breeding and foaling thoroughbreds, Jeff also cherishes his time spent owning and managing thoroughbreds, with many treasured memories from Thistledown and Mountaineer racetracks. Today, Jeff takes immense pride in his role at Howlett Ranch, where he contributes actively to equine operations and enjoys witnessing the ongoing modernization and enhancements of the ranch.

Heidi Cooper
From Boardman, Ohio, Heidi has dedicated the past 6 years to the equine industry, a journey that began with her lifelong passion for animals. Her career started at Mahoning Racecourse, where she specialized in grooming and hot walking, laying the foundation for her deep connection with horses. Now at Howlett Ranch, Heidi thrives on the joy of her daily work, particularly relishing her time with broodmares and foals. Her enthusiasm and love for horses have been unwavering since childhood, and she has embraced every moment of her equine career with delight, commitment, and joy.

Jill Rococi
An accomplished professional from Conneaut, Ohio, brings over 25 years of valuable experience in HR and office management to Howlett Ranch, where she expertly integrates her extensive knowledge with a deep passion for animals. Her cherished memories of visiting Mountaineer Racetrack with her grandfather from age 2 into adulthood have nurtured a lifelong commitment to animal welfare. Today, Jill is excited to embark on this important new chapter at Howlett Ranch, where she proudly contributes her expertise and enthusiasm to the team.

Melissa DelSignore
Melissa DelSignore brings a fresh perspective to Howlett Ranch. With a Bachelor’s in Communications from Youngstown State University, she combines her background in sales and marketing with a lifelong love for animals to enhance the ranch’s presence in the equine industry.
Melissa is excited to craft compelling marketing strategies that highlight the unique qualities of the Howlett Ranch and build meaningful relationships with clients and partners. Outside of work, she volunteers at a local dog shelter, practices yoga, and enjoys time with her dog, Piper. With her blend of professional acumen and heartfelt dedication, Melissa is poised to make a significant impact at Howlett Ranch, driving growth while celebrating the beauty and spirit of thoroughbreds.

Molly
Molly Howlett’s story is a heartwarming testament to resilience and transformation. Once a stray puppy roaming the streets, Molly found her way to Howlett Ranch and decided to make it her home. Over time, she has evolved into the General Manager of the ranch, a role that reflects her incredible journey and personal growth.
Molly’s deep connection with the horses is evident in her daily interactions—whether she’s joyfully running alongside them or cuddling up with them at night. Her transition from a homeless puppy to a cherished member of the Howlett Ranch family is truly inspiring. Her passion and dedication have had a profound impact on the ranch, showcasing her love and commitment to her new family.
